A few days ago they were just a baby.

There they are.  Getting ready for school.  So small in structure to wear that 'big' school bag.  Admittedly we all know the bag gets grown into. By the time they finally fit it your child needs a new one the first one looks like it has gone through a demolision derby and now is ready to be either framed for the fame wall or scrapped as not worth putting another piece of tape or hold together glue, on it. So for the first bag wait off for a while and before you know it you will be anchiously waiting for them to grow into that new school bag. Besides - that childs independance is such a wonderful thing to gain. They have trouble gaining it if we, as caring parents- shove them into their oversized school bag and carry them to school. Believe me the temptation will be there. Enjoy these small pieceful emotion packed moments in time. Having waved good by, given them a fast cuddle [again] go and meet friends at a cafe. Celebration impacting on family members

International events that have significance [ or raise awareness] around the world. International Aids Day, World Clean Up day, World Harmony Day... Religious celebrations. All saints day and the associated Halloween. The Christian Christmas Celebrations that may or may not include a 'man in a red suit visiting', different celebration dates, big family feasts and lead up BB Q's and parties, The Muslim Month of fasting associated with the day of fasting a month later, The Light Festival Different countries 'discovery' or significant days celebrations  Thanks Giving, Australia Day/ Sorry Day,  Whitangi Day and so forth Organisational celebrations or days.
